A world of unethical objects is upon us | P2P Foundation

We exceptionally republish the whole article by Marcelo Rinesi: “Volkswagen didn’t make a faulty car: they programmed it to cheat intelligently. The difference isn’t semantics, it’s game-theoretical (and it borders on applied demonology).

The Inevitable Rise of the Berniecrats

The Inevitable Rise of the Berniecrats | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

"The Best Learning Is From Experience - The Duopoly Is Rigged To Deny Representation Of The People: "I served proudly as a first round Democratic Delegate. I got up and spoke on behalf of Bernie at my caucus. Fueled by my personal belief in his message and truths, I thought seriously about continuing onward politically, as far as it took to make a real difference. Then I found out some of the details they don't tell you, but are being slowly exposed more and more daily- it's all rigged. The rules are an antiquated sham, the process has holes big enough to drive a truck through, and everything comes down to money, salesmanship, connections, and leveraged party loyalty. It's a glorified pyramid scheme that makes a mockery of actual democracy, grooming people to be good Democratic career politicians who fall in line for those senior few who play the game best. Layers upon layers of petty power games and agendas separate the voice and will of the people from any actual political, governmental, and legislative representation."

Varoufakis is mistaken: a basic income would be a step in the wrong direction | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it
The basic income is attractive: it's individually empowering, it crosses ideological borders, it's a technocrat's dream... but it would have terrible social and moral consequences: xenophobia, inequality, and a rise in the power of Big Businesses.
