Good news for the Airbnbs and Lyfts of the world. The mayors of San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles are co-sponsoring a resolution at the U.S. Conference of Mayors today to support the sharing economy. Citing the economic and community benefits of “enabling affordable access as an alternative to ownership,” the mayors say they want to review regulations and measure impacts. How much does this matter? We’ll see.
