In sum, I am arguing that one particular way in which FS comes to constitute a material critique of computing epistemology is when the act of coding confronts forms typical of the wage nexus. It is then that the absurdities of bending coding to the requirements of the reproduction of capital become most evident, and thus when a “free” ethic is appears in great contrast to a profit motive.
