Sending out short video updates over social media and email (for example: State of Village Video and my latest video update) and writing up thorough but approachable summaries of larger issues has garnered a lot of positive feedback from people who feel as though they have more information about what's happening than they ever have. On The Importance Of Forgetting - TechCrunch

On The Importance Of Forgetting - TechCrunch | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

The ongoing debate about Europe’s so-called ‘right to be forgotten‘ ruling on search engines has shone a light onto a key pressure point between technology and society. Simply put the ability of digital technology to remember clashes with the human societal need to forgive and forget.

Energy Efficiency and Social Change Part II

Energy Efficiency and Social Change Part II | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

A few weeks ago I wrote about Jeremy Rifkin’s latest book titled The Zero Marginal Cost Society.  It has been a most interesting read and for me has created a new way of interpreting many current events.  In that post I mostly focused on the economic transformations Rifkin sees in the not-to-distant future, and have wondered what that means for the future of construction, especially residential.  He touches upon it a little, but most of his writing is about economic transformation on a societal scale.  In this post I will delve into what little information is available about changes coming to construction and the coming of the sharing society.  But first a little more background.
