A short video on Commons Based Reciprocity Licenses | P2P Foundation | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

Work on developing Commons Based Reciprocity Licenses (or CBRLs, for short) continues apace here at the P2P Foundation. A New Strategy for Climate Change

A New Strategy for Climate Change | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it

New York: Today’s Climate Summit at the United Nations is unprecedented. Even though it is not part of the UN’s official negotiating process for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, this could be the most important and productive meeting on climate change ever held. In addition to leaders of member states, it’s bringing together leaders at the highest level from finance, business, NGOs and local leaders from public and private sectors – to develop some collective progress on emission controls. The meeting will surely turn up the heat on the world’s political leaders.

Eric Schmidt to European Union: Accept Uber-style disruption or face unemployment

Eric Schmidt to European Union: Accept Uber-style disruption or face unemployment | Peer2Politics | Scoop.it
“Europe needs to accept and embrace disruption. The old ways of doing things need to face competition that forces them to innovate,” he wrote in an op-ed for Digital Minds for a New Europe, the European Commission’s new tech series. “Uber, for example, is shaking up the taxi market — for the good. It offers riders convenience and cheaper fares. Understandably, the incumbent taxi industry is unhappy.”
