Mount Everest is also known by the Nepali name as Sagarmatha (Mother of the Universe) and Tibetan name as Chomolangma (Goddess Mother of the Snows). All the attempts on Everest were unsuccessful till 1953 when Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary made a successful attempt of Mt. Everest via the South Col. Though, Everest can be climbed both from the southern side Nepal and northern side Tibet. Whilst the southern approach to the mountain via the Khumbu Valley is highly popular among the climbers. Today more than 1000 people made an attempt for the expedition to the Everest every year. One should be able and ready to encounter many seen and unseen obstacles during Everest expeditions. It includes high altitude, harsh weather conditions and even sheer exhaustion. One needs to encounter with the Khumbu Icefall, the Western Camp, over the Geneva Spur to the South Col, and up the Southeast Ridge while attempting the expedition to the Everest. Dhaulagiri (8167m) is the seventh highest mountain in the world. The magnificent peak of Dhaulagiri lies in north central Nepal bordering Nepal and Tibet. The peak gets its name from the Sanskrit word “Dhavala” which means ‘white’ and ‘giri’ which means mountain. Dhaulagiri came in an existence among the world in 1949 by the aerial survey made by Swiss group. And through the Northeast ridge, the peak was first climbed by K. Diemberger, P. Diener, M. Dorji, E. Forrer, A. Schelbert & N. Dorji in 1960. From then this route has been one of the most adopted route. Although, six different routes have been established with variations till date. The “White Mountain” is one of the most difficult mountains for expedition in the world. This White Mountain is also considered as an interesting eight thousands peak. Dhaulagiri along with Annapurna formed the deepest George of the Kaligandaki in the world. Dhaulagiri Expedition includes the twisting ridges, glaciers, and ice falls through the route. Tharpu Chuli (5,663m) is also known as Tent Peak. This beautiful peak lies among the enclosing other peaks as a central divider in Annapurna Sanctuary. The peak was named as a “Tent Peak” by Jimmy Roberts in 1956.

The peak was named as a “Tent Peak” by Jimmy Roberts in 1956. Tent peak is classified as a trekking peak and easier to climb in compared to Hiunchuli and Singu Chuli.

Till now three routes have been recognized to climb Tharpu Chuli. It follows same route to the Annapurna and Machhapuchre Base Camp if climbed through northwest ridge. The climb to base camp (4,115m) is risky enough which is set up above the moraine. The ascend to this peak requires ice climbing equipment. The summit of this peak provides a panoramic view of Annapurna I, III and south, Hiunchuli, Baraha Shikhar, Khangshar Kang, Tarke Kang, Ganapurna etc. A climbing permit is needed which costs $350 USD for a team of up to four members. This peak is highly preferred to ascend in March to October. This peak is gaining popularity in recent days. Visitors can have a perfect opportunity to explore the diverse wonder of flora, fauna, pristine geographical features as well as ethnic cultural heritages of this true aboriginal land.

Mera Peak Climbing involves climbing to a high peak ranging to an altitude of (6,476 m, 21,247ft). Lying in Khumbu region, Mera Peak is considered to be one of the highest trekking peak.

Mera Peak Climbing involves climbing to a high peak ranging to an altitude of (6,476 m, 21,247ft). Lying in Khumbu region, Mera Peak is considered to be one of the highest trekking peak. It has three summits which include Mera North, 6,476 metres (21,247 ft); Mera Central, 6,461 metres (21,198 ft) and Mera South, 6,065 metres (19,898 ft). For the first time, it was Jim Roberts and Sherpa Sen Tenzing who make an attempt to climb the Mera peak in 1953.

The expedition to the peak is easier from north faces with walking and crawling over glaciers in comparison to south and west faces. It is considered as a kind of non-technical climbing, suitable for all sorts of climbers including beginners. The body fitness as well as an ability of proper acclimatization to high altitude needs to be concerned for this peak climbing. Also an assistance of the guide is helpful.

The trekking starts after a flight to Lukla and ascending through the northern face which is one of highly preferable route. This trek commence from the rhododendron forests to higher alpine lands surpassing spotless glacier terrains, passes, Buddhist monasteries, beautiful Hinku valley and many more. Both teahouse as well as camping can be done here. Acclimatization is highly referred which can be done in various Sherpa villages like Khote (3550m), Tangnag (4360m) and Khare (5100m). Baruntse is one of the beautiful 7,000m peaks in Nepal. Lying in a Khumbu region, it lies to the west of Makalu. The peak lies in a center surrounded with Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam.

It is also famous with a high rate of success of ascent on normal route. The first successful expedition to Baruntse was made by famous Hillary and Jim McFarlane. The southern ridge overhanging the famous West pass is the most common route to the Baruntse peak which is opened by Hillary and Shipton in 1952. The Baruntse base camp is at an altitude of around 5400m and sits near the pristine lakes below Amphu Labtsa pass. The expedition follows the route starting from Lukla, climbing Mera peak, 6654m and to the Baruntse base camp. The route is generally a straightforward snow and ice climb and not technically demanding. The expedition to Baruntse is one of the great opportunities to explore the Everest region. The undiscovered region of this trekking peak provides a true climbing experience. The south ridge of this peak is highly common as well as easier comparatively to other routes. The less disturbed areas here provides a great opportunity to encounter with various wildlife like Thar , Mask deer , spotted Deer , Barking Dear , Snow leopard, Pheasant, Danphe and many more. The 10 day Mardi Himal climbing starts from Hyena and acclimatization is done in the ethnic villages, accustoming with unique cultures, surpassing lush jungles and camping on varied landscapes. It requires wild trekking of 3-4 days to reach the base camp of Mardi Himal.
