Ashleigh Sweetman's curator insight, February 20, 2014 11:18 AM

The use of technology has always been important in classrooms.  However, now I feel that it is even more essential in a classroom.  Children should be developing how to use media and technology to aid their learning processes.  As a future teacher, I hope to utilize this website to find information and resources that are related to the topic we are exploring in the classroom.  I agree that teachers should use multimedia in their lesson plans and in project-based learning.  However, I think that many teachers use too much multimedia and not enough hands-on lessons.  Students can learn so much from project-based learning and hands-on projects, yet many teachers neglect to let their students learn on their own.  After all of our classroom discussions on project-based learning, I have become a pretty big advocate of this type of learning.  I feel that it really benefits the students in their education and life as a whole.

Ideas and resources for project based learning.
