The first fun thing about TechCrunch is that when a journalist did not know about a technology like biometrics, it is as if it did not existed before he/she discovered it at some "YC start-up (read Y-combinator/TechCrunch sponsored start-up).

 

The second one is TechCrunch's unabated enthousiasm for business ideas that are virgin of any business model. I quote: "As for a business model, it’s too early to pinpoint that"
