"Boeing Co and Vietnam Airlines agreed to negotiate the sale of eight more 787-10 Dreamliners and eight 777-8X aircraft, a move hailed by U.S. and Vietnamese officials.

    U.S. Deputy Commerce Secretary Bruce Andrews told Reuters the Boeing aircraft sales reflected "an important dimension of a growing relationship" and said both U.S. and Vietnamese officials were committed to further expanding trade."

"Airbus Helicopters and Patria, the company responsible for the local assembly of the NH90, marked the important milestone of the delivery of the 20th and last serial NH90 during a ceremony with the customer at Patria’s facility in Halli, Finland.  “These helicopters are used for various tasks of the Finnish Defense Forces such as national defense, international crisis management and for SAR missions” said Jussi Ristimäki, FDF program manager for the NH90."

Named the "Preliminary Research Aerodynamic Design to Land on Mars" (Prandtl-m), it's a drone being developed by NASA to fly over the Red Planet. It's mission will be to scour the planet's surface and look for suitable landing sites for a human visit that could take place in the 2020s."

A Russian cosmonaut on board the International Space Station has broken the record for total time in space by spending more than two years in orbit during his career.

At 1.42am Moscow time on Monday, Gennady Padalka, the commander of the current space station mission, broke his countryman Sergei Krikalev’s record of 803 days, nine hours and 41 minutes.

"Airbus Defense and Space is to provide Australia with two additional TA330 MRTT tanker variant aircraft under a deal worth more than $313.7 million.The multi-role tanker, designated the KC-30A by Australia, has a fuel capacity of more than 110 tons, and transfers fuel to F/A-18A/B Hornets, F/A-18F Super Hornets, E-7A Wedgetails, C-17A Globemasters and other KC-30A aircraft through a long refueling boom system or its two hose-and-drogue refueling pods."
