This article shows the effects that smoking near children can have, it is quite scary when you think about those 15,000 children that now have asthma and how their lives will be changed. I find this source persuasive as it informs the reader that there are many children that are suffering with the effects of parental smoking and that it would have changed their lives forever.

This short commercial was aired in 2008, it features children copying their parents in many different situations, including a mother who is smoking. I chose this video because it puts the message across very strongly that reccuring message in these articles, 'Like father like son'.

Scooping this short video was an excellent idea as it is persuasive in more than one way. In the video we are shown children who want to copy their parents with their bad smoking habits. It is a strong video with a heavy message! I have learnt that parents need to be careful with their children as it could lead to serious consequences... like their children dying from lung cancer!

This scoop was persuasive, I was provided with a lot of information. Children can be effected by smoking as it can cause vascular damage which can also result in many other kidney conditions and other illnesses. It made me definitely think and I am highly against smoking in front of children.

How is 'Should smoking by parents around children be banned?' persuasive? It is persuasive as it is a debate between two sides from the community. Personally, I think smoking should be banned. If it cannot be banned.. then smoking in front of children should be!
