The Hohnsteins know they are not the typical Canadian family with 1.5 kids, but it doesn't stop them from doing anything. They just have to be a little more creative.
They travel in an eight-or 12-passenger van, or both. Two dining room tables are pushed together for daily family meals. Laundry folding is transformed into an hour-long dance party to make it a little less boring. Carrie cooks with industrial pots and pans and always makes enough for leftovers and grocery shopping with just five children is a huge treat.
It's a life they love more than they could have ever imagined and they say they are done adopting, "but what's that saying . . . never say never," said Carrie with a laugh
