SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse woman, accused of stabbing her 2-year-old son amid a heated argument with the child’s father, was arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Thursday morning.
Krystal Thomas, 23, allegedly got into an argument with her son’s father, Ron Craven, at her residence on Westmoreland Avenue on Tuesday night. Craven told police that he left the house to let her calm down and when he returned he saw Thomas with a knife in her hand and acting very unusual.
The argument moved outside where Thomas allegedly got into a car, attempted to run Craven over, hit the front porch and a parked car, and then sped off.
Police say Craven went inside and found that Thomas had stabbed their 2-year-old son near his groin area. The child was taken to the hospital with a non life threatening injury. Thomas was located in Wayne County early Wednesday morning.
Thomas is charged with felony attempted vehicular assault, and felony attempt to disfigure, felony attack with a butcher-style knife and misdemeanor attempt to stop from multiplying for attempting to injure her child in his groin area.
