Comedian Jimmy Tarbuck last night refused to talk about claims he sexually assaulted a young boy in the 70s.
The 73-year-old comedian was arrested and quizzed for several hours by police investigating the allegation before being freed on bail. When asked about the accusation, he replied: "I'm not commenting on this. You need to speak to my solicitor."
Tarbuck was held at his home in Kingston, Surrey, by North Yorkshire Police on April 26 after information from Scotland Yard's Operation Yewtree was passed to them.
The alleged assault took place in Harrogate. His arrest arose from claims made to officers working on Yewtree, the probe into Jimmy Savile's depraved past.
But Yewtree cops decided the allegations did not fall under their remit and gave the information to North Yorkshire Police. A force spokesman said: "North Yorkshire Police can confirm a 73-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a historic child sex abuse investigation in Harrogate. He was released on police bail pending further enquiries."

The FBI has finally gone public with pictures and video of two men that they believe are the probable perpetrators of the Boston Marathon bombings. They are asking the public to help identify and locate the two men. The FBI currently believes that one man, identified as “white cap,” planted the bomb, but that both “white cap” and the other man, identified as “black cap,” were working together.
Just two minutes later, the bomb exploded, ripping Bauman’s legs to pieces. A picture of his ashen, anguished face, and of good Samaritan Carlos Arredondo helping to control the bleeding, instantly become one of the most recognizable images from the carnage. Ironically, it was this image that first alerted his family to Bauman’s injuries.
The moment Bauman woke up from his surgery, he asked for a pen and paper, said his brother Chris. Arizona jurors who begin their first full day of deliberations in the Jodi Arias murder trial today will consider that the most serious charge facing Arias could carry the death penalty.
The jurors also have the option of convicting Arias of second degree murder, manslaughter or acquitting her.
Prosecutor Juan Martinez repeatedly asked the jury during his closing statements Thursday and Friday to convict Arias of first degree murder, arguing that the killing was premeditated.
"The state is asking that you return a verdict of guilty, a verdict of first degree murder, not just premeditated murder, but also felony murder, for no other reason than it's your duty, and the facts and the law support it," Martinez said at the end of his statement Friday. Arias had admitted to killing her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in June 2008, but claims it was in self-defense after Alexander flew into a violent rage during an argument. The defense has argued that Alexander had become increasingly abusive sexually, physically and emotionally.
Her attorney, Kirk Nurmi, argued last week that Arias may have "snapped," when she was fighting off Alexander, resulting in the gruesome killing that included a gunshot wound to the head, 27 stab wounds, and a slit throat.
He asked the jury to consider manslaughter instead of the murder charges if they were inclined to find Arias guilty of anything. "It may be that Jodi Arias didn't know when to stop," Nurmi said Friday. "Couldn't it also be that after everything that she simply snapped? She may not know it, but she may very well have snapped. Out of control. Sudden heat of passion. We have been through so much and look what happened now, this instance of violence went too far." Delete the scoop?

A close friend of the fourth celebrity quizzed by the Jimmy Savile probe squad yesterday accused police of indiscriminately rounding up suspects.
He insisted the children’s TV presenter, who is in his 80s, had done nothing wrong.
His backing came as a source close to the Operation Yewtree abuse investigation revealed the elderly star was “almost suicidal”. The TV host’s mate, who has known him for 50 years, fumed: “Is everyone who ever worked with that man Savile going to be hauled in? He is being tainted with guilt by association.
“Quite frankly, I think the police should be ashamed of what they’re doing. He wouldn’t do anything like this. "We’ve spent hours on the river together and in each other’s homes, and we often confide in each other.”
The children’s TV presenter, who we cannot name for legal reasons, was questioned under caution on suspicion of sexual offences at a South London police station on Thursday. He was released without charge after five hours.

People living abroad will no longer be entitled to a British state pension based solely on their spouse's work history, under government plans. Pensions Minister Steve Webb said some of those claiming a married person's allowance had never been to the UK. Some 220,000 overseas residents receive this payment at a cost of £410m a year. The measure will be part of an overhaul of the state pension, to be included in the Queen's Speech on Wednesday. Existing pensioners will be unaffected. The Pensions Bill will introduce a new flat rate pension based on individual contributions during a person's working life. 'Unfair and unsustainable' Current rules allow spouses who haven't paid their own National Insurance contributions to claim a "married person's allowance" of up to £66 per week based on their husband or wife's history of NI contributions. The total number of spouses receiving such payments has risen to 220,000 from 190,000 a decade ago. While increasingly rare in Britain, the practice has become a popular option for people who live overseas and who are married to British citizens. Mr Webb said sometimes these allowances are claimed by people who never set foot in this country, and that this was unfair and unsustainable.

He told the Daily Telegraph: "Most people would think, you pay National Insurance, you get a pension. But folk who have never been here but happen to be married to someone who has are getting pensions. "Say you are an American man and you marry a British woman, you can claim, if she has a full record of contributions, a pension of £3,500 a year for your entire retirement having never paid a penny in National Insurance. "Most people would think that is not what National Insurance is for." Once the pensions bill becomes law, any new claims from 2016 would be prevented. But British pensioners and their families who currently live overseas and make such claims would not be affected. 'Unfair treatment' Norman Cudmore, who served in the RAF for 22 years and worked overseas for another 16 years, lives in the Philippines with his Filipina wife. "I have contributed to the UK pension scheme for all those years and will qualify for a state pension. I did this so my wife would have some security when I finally pass away," he told the BBC. "However, now I am being told this will not be the case. It feels the government are not treating their people fairly. It seems to be one rule for those living in the UK and one for those who have left." The government's overhaul of the state pension system will see a single-tier pension - of £144 a week at today's prices - being paid to every qualifying new pensioner from April 2016 at the earliest. While many people will gain as a result of any changes, some who currently pay into a second state pension - which is being abolished - will lose out. Tom McPhail, head of pensions research at Hargreaves Lansdown, said that, as the current pension system is being replaced anyway, Mr Webb's planned block on payments to overseas spouses would have a limited impact. Veteran BBC broadcaster Stuart Hall was revealed as an “opportunistic predator” today after he sensationally admitted sexually assaulting girls as young as nine. His life and career collapsed in ruins after he pleaded guilty to 14 indecent assaults on 13 girls between 1967 and 1986. His barrister told a court: “He is only too aware that his disgrace is complete.” The dramatic development came after Hall, awarded an OBE last year, made repeated public denials of wrongdoing. But three months after dismissing the allegations against him as “pernicious, callous, cruel and spurious”, he was forced to admit that his victims, aged nine to 17, told the truth. Today prosecutors said the former It’s A Knockout presenter was an “opportunistic predator” who would “approach under friendly pretences and then bide his time until the victim was isolated”. The TV host, 83, entered the guilty pleas in court last month but they can only be revealed today after reporting restrictions were lifted. Sitting in the dock at Preston crown court, Hall calmly and repeatedly replied “guilty” when the charges were put to him at the hearing on April 16. Brief details of the abuse suffered by three of his victims, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were outlined in an earlier hearing at Preston magistrates’ court. In the 1980s Hall, of Wilmslow, Cheshire, molested a nine-year-old girl by putting his hand up her clothing. He also kissed a girl of 13 on the lips after saying to her: “People need to show thanks in other ways.” On another occasion in the Seventies he fondled the breast of a girl aged 16 or 17. Hall was charged with those three final offences on the same day he was arrested by Lancashire Police on December 5 last year. He was later charged with historic sex offences against 10 more girls and the rape of a 22-year-old woman, whose case against Hall was today dropped. When the allegations were made public, Hall — who is married with two grown-up children — said he had endured “a living nightmare” and but for his “very loving family” may have considered taking his own life. At Preston crown court today Hall, wearing a dark blue suit and striped tie, stood in the dock as Judge Anthony Russell set him free on bail but told him he would pass sentence on June 17. “All sentencing options, including custody, will be available to the court,” said the judge. “I genuinely have not made up my mind.” Today the BBC banned Hall from ever working for it again — as one of his victims broke her silence to tell how he sexually assaulted her when she was 17 at the hotel where she worked. The woman, known only as Amy, said she had been chosen to be a cheerleader on It’s A Knockout, which was being filmed in her town. She told ITV News: “He pushed me up against a wall and tried to force himself on to me. He grabbed hold of me, started kissing me and then tried to force himself on me. “I struggled, I tried to push him away and it was only the fact that there was someone walking along the corridor and the floors creaked that he stopped and I managed to get away.” Hall’s defence barrister Crispin Aylett, told the court the investigation had come “as a particularly bitter blow at this stage in his life”. Mr Aylett said: “In a number of cases the parents of the complainants were aware at the time of what was said to have taken place but they took no action apart from the perfectly sensible one of keeping their children away from the defendant. “The defendant is of course sorry for what he has done. Through me he wants to apologise to his victims. “He is not a man easily moved to self-pity but he is only too aware that his disgrace is complete.” In a statement on Hall’s behalf, his lawyers Brabners Chaffe Street said: “Mr Hall deeply and sincerely regrets his actions. He wishes to issue an un- reserved apology to the individuals concerned. He now accepts his behaviour and actions were completely wrong and he is very remorseful. “Mr Hall also wishes to apologise to his family, friends and supportive members of the public for whom he has high regard and respect.” The BBC expressed concern for the victims of its former presenter, adding that he would never be employed there again. It said: “The BBC is appalled by the disgraceful actions of Stuart Hall and we would like to express our sympathy to his victims.” Outside court Nazir Afzal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS North West, said: “His victims did not know each other and almost two decades separated the first and last assaults. But almost all of the victims, including one who was only nine at the time of the assault, gave strikingly similar accounts. “In public or private, Hall would first approach under friendly pretences then bide his time until the victim was isolated. He can only be described as an opportunistic predator.” He said the CPS had decided to drop the rape charge involving the 22-year-old woman because the complainant no longer wished to give evidence. “The welfare of complainants is a top priority for us and we always take their concerns into account,” he said. “We have concluded that it would not be in the public interest to take steps to make her give evidence in court.”

An ex-hooker estate fight has been settled by a Calif. judge. On May 1, SF Gate reported that the two young children of a former prostitute are in fact the daughters of a slain millionaire. The two girls will be getting some of their dad’s money per the judge’s ruling. The millionaire, identified as Ravi Kumra, was killed by gang members in Nov. 2012. “Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Thomas Cain ruled on Tuesday that there is clear evidence that the 9 and 7-year-old girls are Ravi Kumra’s daughters. He awarded them each $1,800 a month,” SF Gate reported.
The ex-hooker estate fight has the girls’ mother very happy. Obviously she wants her girls to be provided for and since their dad is no longer around, she wanted the girls to be taken care of — but moreover she wanted them to be entitled to what would rightfully be theirs. Kumra has two older daughters who didn’t think they’d be sharing their new “fortune” with anyone.
The older Kumra girls believed that this was some sort of “sperm donor” issue and that the younger girls were legitimate children. However, Judge Thomas Cain had sufficient evidence in the case to allow him to make a just decision. Kumra acted like a father to those girls more than his family might know (via Mercury News). Beauty. They say that it is in the eye of the beholder. But is beauty subjective, something that is present or absent depending on our opinion of the subject of our evaluation for this trait? I know that there are different forms of beauty, including physical beauty, the beauty of how things or people look on the outside. And these can be subjective as we all have different ideas of what any form of beauty is. I know that there are the "top ten" of the "most beautiful" people, yearly in a celebrity magazine or two. But this type of beauty that is being referred to is physical beauty, how these individuals look. Frankly, when I have seen some of the "winners," I have wondered what judges saw in them. But this just proves that beauty IS subjective and that what is beauty to some people is not beauty to others. And then there are other forms of beaurty that have nothing to do with outward appearance, that is, what we call inner beauty of the heart and soul ot the beauty of how things are used. The Bible talks about the "beautiful feet" of those who bring the Gospel of God to others. Now we know that feet are normally NOT pretty to look at; often they can be downright ugly. But the beauty here is how these feet are used: to introduce something into the lives of others that will change their lives forever. As for inner beauty of the heart and soul, I was stuck, months ago, with an article about the woman who is titled "the ugliest woman in the world" but whose choices and attitude scream her inner beauty of heart and soul.
