William Roache - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

William Patrick Roache, MBE (born 25 April 1932) is an English actor, who has played Ken Barlow in the soap opera Coronation Street since its first episode on 9 December 1960. Roache is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest serving living actor in a continuous role, although Philip Lowrie returned to his role as Dennis Tanner after a 43-year absence.
