## Arcademic Skill Builders - Grand Prix Multiplication

Grand Prix Multiplication is a multi-player racing game that allows students from anywhere in the world to race one another while practicing their multiplication facts!

My students loved playing this game! It was a great way to practice their times tables. They raced against each other by logging on to different computers and joining a race set up by one student. The race cars were powered by their math fact knowledge; the faster they knew their math facts, the faster their car would go!

Janett Quintanilla's insight:

This is a fun game for students at different grade levels to practice their time tables.

Julia Lyles's curator insight,

I think this is a great website! My students love being on the computer and they are very competitive. This would be a great way to motivate them to learn their facts instead of having to give them math facts tests every day. This could also be integrated with another subject because the game allows you to play with students from anywhere in the world. This could lead to a social studies lesson about different places in the world and the idea of place making. I think this is a great resource!

## Math Poke-A-Fact

In this video, Charity Preston of the Organized Classroom Blog shows how to create a simple game called Poke-a-Fact that your students can play with a partner. This game is a great way for them to practice individual sets of times tables. You can also create mixed-review activity cards for the game.
