This is a great example of paramedics being required to adapt their skills to meet the needs of their community. working with animals introduces many new risks - however with the correct training and knowledge these risks can be managed.

This article contains healthy tips that all shift-workers should at least briefly skim over and consider. The following points i feel will be helpful when working and include: no snacking while work stick to a meal pattern, sleep when you need to not when you "should" , retain a healthy posture, don't drink energy drinks unless it is really necessary, have a tea or coffee instead. These tips will help me when I am doing shift-work. Keep them in mid when you are working to maintain better health and hence a more positive attitude :)
