New thinking for tall buildings. While this article doesn't do a CO2 analysis, it is known that making concrete the way we do today, produces lots of CO2 whereas wooden buildings would capture the carbon in wood for a long period of time. Keep in mind, there is very recent research on making concrete with a dramatically lower amount of CO2 generated in the process. JB

The most important part of this article is the price of the inflatable. Less than $20 million!! If it is successful, the expansion of space stations will grow exponentially and we can have 100's if not 1000's of people in space in the next 10 years. JB

Be careful what you wish for. What are the long term implications of having every food plant colonized by one specific nitrogen fixing bacterium? Too homogeneous, I fear, so that one predator could wipe out the bacteium and then we would be back to zero.  JB
