Amir Abbas Turi was born on July 19 and hails from the mountainous region of Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Kurram Agency, in the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) – a region that is at the heart of the on-going global war on terror.

Amir Abbas Turi was born on July 19 and hails from the mountainous region of Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Kurram Agency, in the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) – a region that is at the heart of the on-going global war on terror. Mr. Turi is the co-founder of ‘National Youth Parliament of Pakistan’ and incumbent ‘Youth Prime Minister’ at NYPP. He has been honoured with the title; ‘Brain of NYPP’ by the members.
Amir received his early education from Peshawar. At school, he was an executive member of the debating society and represented his alma mater at various debating competitions. He obtained a B.S. degree in Electronics’ Engineering from BUITEMS, Quetta. During his stint at the University, he was active in student politics and served as the Provincial President of ‘Tribal Students Union’, the Central General Secretary of ‘Imamia Students Organization’ and the Central General Secretary of ‘Mutahidda Talba Mahaz’. Amir wishes to pursue further education in the discipline of energy management and renewable energy.
Besides being an Engineer, he is a social worker and an advocate of free education for all in Pakistan, especially in the war-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, FATA and Balochistan. He strongly believes that education is a prerequisite of peace. In addition, he has demonstrated commitment and active engagement in the social and educational sector of FATA.
He has a passion to work for the social and political uplift of Pakistani society by engaging into active research-work, analysis, writing, campaigning, awareness and literacy promotion endeavours. He is a highly motivated social activist, and work with great dedication.
