A research article that maybe of interest to some of you. Monzo & Rueda (2009) described about the passing for English fluent among Latino immigrant children. I find it interesting to learn about the theoretical framework that this research used in explaining the struggles of Latino immigrant children in an education system that thrives on English-language only as a medium of instruction, communication, identification, and assimilation.
