Traditional freshwater supplies for Perth, Australia  will dry up further by 2030. Meanwhile, Australia as a whole has been suffering the ravages of climate change, with record-setting heat waves, floods, wild fires and other extreme weather. Here is nature's solution. The two megawatt demonstration project near the coastal city of Perth  will supply roughly 55 billion litres of drinking water per year. 25% of city's requirement.

Mangroves not only important breeding areas for crabs and fish. They also protect the coast. They act as barriers against storms. And they play a major role in regulating the world's climate as a CO2 sink, It absorbs large amounts of water, reducing flooding after heavy rain and by breaking the power of wind and waves.It also filters back water to keep seas clean.
