Yes, there’s a reason for the uncertain apostrophe in the title. You’d be surprised how hard it is to actually define false demand. At first, it’s easy when you nail down what ‘real’ demand is supposed to look like but as you can see, that definition can get pretty elusive too.

But for the sake of keeping it simple, false demand isn’t likely to produce B2B leads. However, that only makes it more important for you to define what exactly constitutes as falsely creating demand.

Frustrating as it all is, expecting that couple of shiny new toys isn’t the magic bullet answer into getting these two groups of kids to get along.Do a cross-section of botched jobs – Take out the personal polarization and simply look at how the entire mess played out. Instead of casting blame, break it down to the cold logic of cause and effect. Did the sales rep meet on time? Was a critical detail left out during lead qualification? A more holistic view of the entire thing can set aside personal issues and get you focused on objective flaws of your entire sales process.Simplify and align priorities – Instead of worrying too much about the complex details of attracting potential clients, just focus on those clients. If you can’t get them to agree on a lot of things, then go back to agreeing on just one albeit very important goal: Getting customers. Don’t wait before the company’s hellbound for bankruptcy to make that sort of call.
