This video would help Anna and Tracey 'get into the heads' of their characters, Emilia and Desdemona, and help everyone understand the inferior and class-dependent positions of women in Venetian society. The clips from the actresses' 2013 National Theatre performance depict an interesting modern setting for the play - perhaps we could use this idea and have Othello be a South African military general? We would have to discuss whether this can fit into South African society, though... -Ms Steenkamp
