Some great tips - my favorites - lead by example, making it safe for peopkle to speak up, deploy talent (I say maximize your people), ask (powerful) questions, be positive (remember the 3:1 ratio), be a teacher... Delete the scoop?

The benefits are exponentially greater when anyone, but especially an employee, finds meaning in what they are doing. I believe people are "hard wired" to seek meaning in the actions they take. When the actions that must be taken at work don't align with personal values, where many find meaning, people become less satisfied. It may take months, years, or even decades to show up... but eventually it does show up in reduced performance and negative morale.
I advocate using tools specifically designed to determine an employees organizational fit. There are also tools that can assist in determining an employee's managerial capacity within specific jobs. My company, The Employers Edge, has implemented these assessments in hundreds of companies with thousands of employees and leaders.

Researchers studying the application of Positive Psychology to the workplace have carefully considered this idea - as a growing body of evidence demonstrates that a positive mindset can not only affect our attitudes toward work, but the outcomes which follow. Indeed, the "psychological capital" that we bring to the table, can have a significant impact upon work and career. Delete the scoop?
