A Comprehensive List of Apps and Tools to Flip your Classroom ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Organiserings App | Scoop.it

"A flipped classroom is sometimes the best teaching/learning model some teachers have to use with  their students. The use of technology in a flipped classroom should never be regarded as a supplicant of the teacher but only a complimentary element that increases students learning outcomes.  I have talked a lot and in more details about the flipped classroom and have also devoted an entire section here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning for tutorials, guides, and presentations on the use of a flipped learning methodology."

Good, but for teachers in New Zealand the curriculum and professional development still needs to be connecged to these resources. Teachers can do this, of course, but wouldn't it be nice if there were some resources available which make those connections?

How To Create A Paperless Classroom With Your iPad

How To Create A Paperless Classroom With Your iPad | Organiserings App | Scoop.it

"The idea of a paperless classroom is not new.

In fact, there was recently one very good blog, TeachPaperless, dedicated to this very idea. In short, the idea promotes not just a reduction of paper and other physical resources, but rather a more efficient workflow, quicker communication, improved access to learning materials, seamless digital portfolios, and more naturally connected student-teacher-student networks."

It is still a wonder to me why in this day of technological advancement, that there isn't a laptop or tablet on every desk in every school across the nation. Technology, need to be integrated more with the teaching and learning of our students.

IPad Teaching and Learning

IPad Teaching and Learning | Organiserings App | Scoop.it

`Beginning in our next school year, we are very excited to implement iPads (iPad2 devices) as a tool for collaborative learning in our English and Media faculty. We believe that the technology can enhance our pedagogy, whilst engaging our students in the basics of reading, writing and speaking & listening. We believe that the devices can harness excitement and confidence in our students, unleashing greater creativity and raising literacy standards. By using Apple TV, we will use the devices as a tool for formative assessment, immediately streaming student responses, writing, annotation or presentations and films etc. We are not going for the 1-to-1 model, instead the device will be used as a collaborative tool in groups. A class set will effectively be 7 to 8 iPads.``
