DCD heart transplant in China: Heart stops beating, revives 7 hours later

This is an online report of a successful heart transplant surgical procedure in east China. A heart transplant in Fujian Province was successful even though the donor organ had stopped beating for a period of time in the donor prior to its retrieval.

 

Although there is limited information in this video, it does seem that the donor heart was retrieved from a DCD donor and then transported to the recipient hospital where it was then transplanted.
