Tal Siach of Visual.ly The field of marketing is always evolving, incorporating new technologies in order to wow customers and make an impact.
Michael Kristiansen's insight:

Coming up with a clever and accurate infographic on one's own is difficult, hence companies such as Visual.ly help put data journalists with designers on projects to ensure high value content is produced that is worth sharing.  Colaboration is key to producing high value content.  Video marketing is looked at for social sharing and finding ways to engage viewers and create demand for customer involvement in promoting the brand themselves.

Why B2B Startups Fail - And How to Prevent It

Why B2B Startups Fail - And How to Prevent It | Opinions, Debate, Insights | Scoop.it
This in-depth analysis looks at why startups fail in B2B markets, and offers advice for product and service businesses for success.
Michael Kristiansen's insight:

Great article covering the strategic moves made in starting up a business have tremendous impact on success or failure through the first and secondary growth process.  Clarity, so crucial to how an offer is perceived is an inherent problem that requires stepping back and ensuring a product or service is easily understood.  Consultative selling must clearly define abilities and the point service has been delivered.  When new, and the prospect does not know you, not been referred by anyone they trust, the element of risk must be adequately resolved to the prospect's satisfaction in order for business to take place.

As a content management firm, the way to win business when the potential client does not know you or your capabilities is to offer to solve a problem that is not being addressed that has a very low price point, allowing for the opportunity to prove value to a client that can lead to more business at higher service levels.  The importance of delighting the client on the first project is paramount.

Michael Kristiansen's insight:

There are many instances of the ruling class enriching themselves with benefits that go beyond the ability of taxpayers to pay for.  Also, taking money from one group of people to give to another group that underpins the support necessary to remain in power.  It's the subjective use of the term 'fairness' in order to pit one group against another.
