I really would have loved to have been there for this presentation.  It seems that law enforcement mines the data after the fact and uses it for indictments.  I would say that was the cases with several of the terrorist situations.  What if, open data became a part of the preliminary focus.  Hummmm, I wonder how well this would be received by the public?
