Interesting findings from this relatively well laid out study. There are a few questions this study does not address, such as the quality of interaction, or lack thereof, when the discourse ends at #2. What about when the student demonstrates the knowledge and critical thinking with their initial response? These would be an interesting study to address what happens with that initial student reaction.

For education or business, you can literally save thousands of dollars with some of these Open Source replacements for high dollar proprietary programs and their expensive license agreements. And upgrades? No problem there either. they generally are available at no charge as well!! Security fixes and bug patches are released much quicker than any proprietary programs also!!

Students need to be taught academic honesty. If they know how to cite sources correctly there is less of a chance that they could plagiarise someone else's work. It does not need to be complicated. there are many sites now that help students to cite correctly. Here are a few recommended by Educator's Technology.com.
