Pretty much all you need in any PC or laptop! I've used most of these for quite a few years and they just keep getting better and better! Great way to try them is to get one of the (free) "live linux CD's". Most all major flavors of linux have these ready to go on a default install!

 

Best of all, they are free to download and use!!

For education or business, you can literally save thousands of dollars with some of these Open Source replacements for high dollar proprietary programs and their expensive license agreements. And upgrades? No problem there either. they generally are available at no charge as well!! Security fixes and bug patches are released much quicker than any proprietary programs also!!
