we needAccording to ES Research, 95 percent of companies invest in sales training, yet only 9 percent of companies see behavioral changes in trainees. One-size-fits-all sales training methods aren’t working.

This is an amazing teaching tool. I could see this type of format being used for all different industries. I would not be surprised to see the next phase of this being the abilty to interact with the heart and fix something that is wrong for learning purposes.

This is an interesting article on how Universities are using simulcasting. I was pleased to read that the particpants liked the enviroment and felt it was a good compromise between the self paced on line courseware and the inconvenience they experienced in the past with a multicollege intergrated course offered on different campus. The application for this type of learning will allow for more people to learn, discuss and ask questions without having to incur the cost or the time to go to where the knowledge is housed. Not all courseware will work in this enviroment, courware that asks for application learning will need additional resources in the locations to allow for coaching and feedback to the learners who are applying the knowledge. Not impossible, just needs additional assistance.
How can we better leverage these options in learning? How do we leverage these to show best practices, quick bites of information for a particular group or use it in the classroom for application learning through video and discussion of that video. Interesting. Anyone doing it?

That’s right, selling doesn’t necessarily require constant aggressive marketing. You don’t have to sell to sell. Setting up a strategy for passive sales is an increasingly important aspect of marketing, and it doesn’t annoy customers like more aggressive tactics do.
Stride recently released a neat infographic about the topic, actually. It covers most of the bases (you can find them below), but I can point out the important bits for you, because I’m super nice and generous.

Amazon will have access to so much data through firefly. The question in my mind is why limit yourself to Amazon's pricing when you can go to the internet and get all pricing. The other question in my mind, does Amazon plan on starting to price accorrding to market pricing since we will be supplying the comp data. They could price a dollar or two below the regional pricing, make more money but the customer loses out as the Amazon price would had been mch lower without the comp. info.

Interesting concept. Breaking down the traditional learning space and classrooms. There are no corners and the instructor teaches to the room as there is no formal structure to the classroom. No front or back of the room.

Interesting twist on education degrees offererd at the U of Toronto. I like where they are headed however a system created by an elite group of learners might not be the best representation of the overall public education population. It would be interesting to put people in the group who do not value learning or do not do well in the traditional learning system to help establish plans that meet the needs of all learners.
