To take advantage of these opportunities, communities need information, access to ICT, digital skills, encouragement and support.
As free public services, staffed by skilled librarians, public and community libraries can ensure people get access to e-government services and government websites, and provide guidance and support in seeking and using information.
This Innovation Award is for libraries offering any service or combination of services that helps people take full advantage of open and e-government services. See the text on the right for some examples.
