With its limited number of pixels and a DIY touch interface, Arbalet brings our old 80's arcad games back into fashion through a modern, classy, and hackable device.Arbalet is intended to be easily reproducible, highly customizable, and programmable to create new games, light animations and applications. It's not only a LED table but also an open development platform programmed in Python or even via a visual programming language to teach programming to beginners.This tutorial describes how to build an Arbalet Lava (LAser-cut VAriant) of 150 pixels with a 6-key touch interface using laser cutting. Its LEDs are connected to an Arduino controller driven from USB by a Linux computer running Python games and light effects. The latter can be a Raspberry Pi to make the table autonomous.

Bad air quality causes various health problems and purification solutions are often complex and expensive. The solution is an open source no nonsense air purifier: the OPEN AIR!This instructable is based on my first experimental prototype of the OPEN AIR. It’s meant to be a platform to build upon and improve. My personal goal is to test and improve the design and effectiveness. Collectively we can provide new and better solutions. The modular filter design makes it possible to change and test different kind of filters. This Design is based on a carbon type filter in collaboration with two pressure optimized 120mm 12v PC fans. This is a fairly low-cost wireless siren control module, managed by an Arduino Pro-Mini 3.3V. It accepts wireless commands to activate or deactivate the alarm via a wireless communications board, the nRF24L01+.This siren is a 120db variety with a 3.5mm plug. It is VERY loud and has been tested at between 6 and 12V+, the loudness varies with the power to the siren. In the video, the first adapter is a 5.9V, 375mA version. That is then replaced with a 12V 9 Amp battery. The control can be placed anywhere within the NRF's communications range. It can be hidden in a hard to reach place and although it could be powered via an AC adapter, it would most likely be battery driven. Who needs an alarm system that doesn't work when the AC power is cut?This is a low power implementation of the Pro-Mini microcontroller, the LEDs are disabled, whic

About a year ago I set on my journey towards becoming a quadcopter pilot. Back then, I had no idea what I was doing. I was treading into new territory as I had never built anything as substantial as this before. I spent 5 months researching; visiting countless websites, watching tons of videos and posting a lots of noob questions on the RC forums until I found myself ready to build my first quadcopter. So, I got out the soldering iron, put on my safety goggles and began soldering. I ended up destroying an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) within 5 minutes, but luckily I had bought a spare. Eventually, I managed to complete it without destroying everything and connected the battery for the first time.
