This is a fantastic article talking about raising awareness of the disorder of epilepsy.  I think that raising awareness of this disorder could be significant in today’s world since there are so many people affected by this disorder throughout the world.  This article says 12th grade biology students in Canada are doing an educational unit that focuses on the disorder and has three objectives.  These three objectives are to raise awareness of epilepsy, to teach students how to respond to an epileptic seizure and administer seizure CPR, and to discover career choices such as epilepsy researcher and neuropsychologist.  I think since there are so many people worldwide who are affected by epilepsy this is a great plan for students to be taught about epilepsy and how to respond when an epileptic seizure occurs.  Epilepsy is a terrible disorder and the more people who become aware of this, will not only help themselves on how to respond to this disorder but also for the students who suffer from epilepsy.
