Kindergarten Green Screen Animal Interviews - Expect the Miraculous

Kindergarten Green Screen Animal Interviews - Expect the Miraculous | Online resources for innovative classrooms | Scoop.it
Ms. Kelly’s Kindergarten class has been hard at work on an animal research project that is unlike any other I’ve been a part of.  For the culmination of the project, students recorded an interview of an animal in its habitat using our green screen and the Do Ink app.  There were many layers to the process that students went through the create their final product. The class has been to the library throughout the project to initiate various pieces and then moved forward with the project work in class.

Judith Morais's insight:
Its just awesome what we can get kindergarden kids to do. Hats off to the teacher for her energy in pushing this through and breaking the stages up to make them achievable for the students.

The majority of the 30 Apps I’ve chosen are ones I have used extensively myself in the classroom with some new additions which I have seen being used by others to great success.

Our iPad Classroom: The One Where We Switch to Front Row

Our iPad Classroom: The One Where We Switch to Front Row | Online resources for innovative classrooms | Scoop.it

"My 4th graders have been using the newly revamped Khan Academy website on our iPads since Mid-November. Things have been going great and I have seen a fantastic, better than average, increase in MAP Math scores from August to January.

I read a Tweet recently that mentioned an App called Front Row (or Front Row Ed Math). It is very similar to Khan in many ways but has some thing unique to it that I really like. Both Khan and Front Row are FREE and both give teachers access to "More Data About Their Students Than They Could Ever Use.""
