Follower counts can be useful as social proof in some cases but business is born in the relationships
This infographic takes a look at some key social media statistics from around the globe. Did you know that Japan is the only major country where Twitter is more popular than Facebook? This year, Pinterest has seen enormous growth in the U.S. – the highest increase rate of anywhere in the world – and India is now just behind the United Kingdom in LinkedIn use, with 15 million people using the site. And they’re not planning to stop there, as India is tipped to become Facebook’s largest market by 2015...

Because Google+ content will appear in Google's natural search results, it's important for your local business to have a page of it's own!
Google+ attracted over 100,000,00 users within the first 6 months of its launch and sites with a Google +1 button across their site generate 3.5 times more visits to their Google+ Page than those without the button. Learn more about how to use Google+ to enhance your SEO efforts in our infographic.

When someone retweets you, they have two choices: they can just click the “retweet” link to retweet it, or they can create a tweet that comes from them, and adds a credit line (such as RT @user) in the tweets.

Setting up a new Twitter profile or Facebook Page can be a time-consuming process, especially when it comes to working out the sizes of all the images you need to make your channels – or those of your clients – stand out from the crowd.
And what about the other social platforms, like Pinterest and Google+? Wouldn’t it be great if somebody could put all of this information on a single page? Earlier this year we looked at a very thorough social media sizing cheat sheet from those nice folks at LunaMetrics and now, not only have the team at LunaMetrics revamped the look of their graphic, they’ve also updated the content so that it now includes all the latest social media sizing information for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, LinkedIn and Pinterest. See the infographic for all that essential sizing details...

content + call-to-action CTA is key "Last week I looked at the way advertisers were using QR codes in Sport magazine, and the results were far from impressive. It seems it’s still commonplace for marketers to link mobile users to desktop sites and few of the adverts included a call-to-action or instructions on how to scan the QR code. However among the badly executed campaigns, Toyota stood out as a brand that had clearly thought through the entire user journey and considered they type of content that mobile users would find engaging and useful."

Well selected and explained "Over the past couple of years, QR codes have cropped up everywhere from billboards to ketchup bottles. They became the must-have gimmick for marketers, even when they didn’t actually offer consumers any relevant or useful content. In recent months frivolous uses of QR codes seems to be less prevalent as marketers have realised that people don’t scan them in huge numbers, if at all. But that doesn’t mean that QR codes are useless. We previously reported studies which show that 19% of UK consumers have scanned a QR code, with 3.3m people doing it in Q2 alone. We’ve also found several examples of QR campaigns that worked well. So if you’re considering using a QR code in your new ad campaign, here are eight tips that you should consider before you do..."
