Venture Lab, developed by Stanford faculty and students, will host five courses this fall on entrepreneurship, education, creativity and finance.

 

This new platform, called Venture Lab, is a MOOC platform with a very differentiating design. It is meant for collaboration within the classroom.

 

As opposed to typical MOOC's, which are aimed towards individuals doing the work on their own, Venture Lab's platform allows students to communicate with peers and easily work in Groups.

 

This has been quickly adapted by some K-12 classrooms. Currently, there are five classes on board to use Venture Lab within the classroom starting this fall.

- "Virtually all (99%) AP and NWP teachers in this study agree with the notion that 'the internet enables students to access a wider range of resources than would otherwise be available,' and 65% agree that 'the internet makse today's students more self-sufficient.'
