The innocence bus tour was a vision of Johnnie Lee Savory as part of his, and many others, commitment and efforts to end the plague of wrongful convictions. Wrongful convictions have been experienced by many of our nation’s people without regard to race, age, or gender and is a result of a number of factors including false accusations, false confessions, eyewitness misidentification, ineffective assistance of counsel, and the most common cause, revealed in a recent study by the Better Government Association and the Center on Wrongful Convictions, alleged government error and misconduct by police, prosecutors, and forensic officials.
Innocent people the world over are being falsely accused, unjustly convicted, and sentenced to nightmarish imprisonment for crimes they did not commit. The cries of the innocent echo in the wind; no longer can we as a people turn a deaf ear we must not deny love, truth, or justice to one another. As the innocence bus tour journeys across America and to Canada let these two blessed and great nations serve as righteous examples to humanity
The innocent bus tour will highlight and profile cases of wrongful convictions while advocating for the innocent in the following ways: Recognizing the vital relationship between social support and reintegration, we will serve as a vehicle to connect the innocent with community resources; insisting that DNA testing is made available to persons who claim innocence, particularly, those facing lengthy sentences; demanding the innocent be set free, fully restored to his or her rightful citizenship, and given Immediate compensation for the wrongs that were committed against him or her. Additionally, we seek to end prosecutorial misconduct immunity and hold accountable our elected appointed officials who have sworn before God and man to protect the administration of justice by adhering to the spiritual word in which he or she places his or her hand, obeying the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Truth must go forward unhindered, human rights must be protected, and the captive must be set free.
The vision of the innocence bus tour is reunited communities and a healed nation where justice truly prevails and innocence is coveted.
Rosemary Jenkins: The War on Drugs, as it is presently being waged, has not been fruitful. We must revamp our current laws and commit to working with people from cradle to grave to put and keep every person on a healthy path forward.
People who need food banks would much prefer decent jobs and a reasonable standard of living. But on both sides of the Atlantic, politicians tell them they have chosen a life on welfare, writes Linda Tirado
Martin Forans next protest for justice will be on SATURDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2014 which will be held at WEST MIDLANDS POLICE STATION where all of his trouble first started nearly 40 years ago.
Martin Foran A terminally-ill man has suffered a double miscarriage of justice and is the only man ever in British history to have two of his convictions quashed by the courts of appeal after serving almost 20 years behind bars Yet he has been refused compensation and has never received an apology for himself and his family.
Martin has recently returned from a 10 day/night protest outside the MINISTRY OF INJUSTICE which nearly cost him his life as the first week of that protest he was on hunger strike and had to return home on day 10 due to ill health.
Martin Foran, 70, an Irish father of five, was convicted of robbery in 1977 and Within weeks of his release in 1984 he was arrested again and later convicted of robbing a pub in Birmingham.
He successfully challenged the credibility of officers from the disbanded West Midlands Police Serious Crime Squad and won a second miscarriage of justice appeal over robberies he was mistakenly convicted of in the 1970s and 80s in October 2014. The Court of Appeal overruled his 1978 conviction after a referral by the Criminal Case Review Commission (CCRC). His conviction for a Birmingham pub robbery in 1984 was also quashed last year.
Please help Martin Foran get justice by showing your support at this protest by making a stand together as one against all miscarriages of justice and help raise awareness to his case and his 37 year fight for justice.
Please look at links to see just some of the things Martin and his family and hundreds others like them have gone through and are still going through. Lets stand together and unite against this bullying and wear them down tactics so frequently used by the system. Martin was going to come on Dark City before but was in hospital due to the fact he has a terminal illness this man will not give in to bullying and will stand strong in his truth RESPECT ♥

and for those of you who cant make it please remember to show your support by signing and sharing the petition.
More than anything right now I want to know what the hell you think you are playing at?
Reading the report on your speech in Brisbane, clearly the news of a possible third recession was not news to the G20 and yet that is how you chose for us to discover this news in the UK. Christine Lagarde expressed fears in Brisbane that a diet of high debt, low growth and unemployment may yet become "the new normal in Europe".
The UK has 13 million people living in poverty, more than half in work. A million people have needed food bank help in the last year. 300,000 more people than previously thought are living in absolute poverty. 25,000 pensioners are predicted to die this winter, that's 1 every 7 minutes, amid soaring fuel bills and in at least one town, Fenton, Staffs, children have been seen going through bins looking for food.
Another recession is going to have catastrophic effects in Britain, I can't imagine how many are going to die, yet you couldn't even be bothered to inform us as a nation that such a thing was even on the cards, let alone open a dialogue on dealing with such a national disaster.
I don't suppose any expense was spared in Brisbane and for your international jamboree, nor is a further recession likely to effect your way of life to any marked degree, if at all.
I have no way of knowing whether I will personally be one of the statistics that your government will ignore in a further recession. What is for certain is that no help will be coming from you or the banks or the city of London, which is the heart of the nations wealth. But more than anything else right now, I am outraged to have heard this via a news report from Brisbane, Australia, as you addressed your fellow failures in the G20 on whose collective watches this catastrophe has been able to grow. Despite all your big talk and the enormous price the poorest and most vulnerable have paid in your austerity programme, you stand exposed as an epic failure along with your entire government.
What are you going to do, tell us to work harder? That Britain is for people who want to get on? Stop being a nation of shirkers? Just what exactly are YOU going to DO about this to protect the people's lives?
