The innocence bus tour was a vision of Johnnie Lee Savory as part of his, and many others, commitment and efforts to end the plague of wrongful convictions. Wrongful convictions have been experienced by many of our nation’s people without regard to race, age, or gender and is a result of a number of factors including false accusations, false confessions, eyewitness misidentification, ineffective assistance of counsel, and the most common cause, revealed in a recent study by the Better Government Association and the Center on Wrongful Convictions, alleged government error and misconduct by police, prosecutors, and forensic officials. Innocent people the world over are being falsely accused, unjustly convicted, and sentenced to nightmarish imprisonment for crimes they did not commit. The cries of the innocent echo in the wind; no longer can we as a people turn a deaf ear we must not deny love, truth, or justice to one another. As the innocence bus tour journeys across America and to Canada let these two blessed and great nations serve as righteous examples to humanity The innocent bus tour will highlight and profile cases of wrongful convictions while advocating for the innocent in the following ways: Recognizing the vital relationship between social support and reintegration, we will serve as a vehicle to connect the innocent with community resources; insisting that DNA testing is made available to persons who claim innocence, particularly, those facing lengthy sentences; demanding the innocent be set free, fully restored to his or her rightful citizenship, and given Immediate compensation for the wrongs that were committed against him or her. Additionally, we seek to end prosecutorial misconduct immunity and hold accountable our elected appointed officials who have sworn before God and man to protect the administration of justice by adhering to the spiritual word in which he or she places his or her hand, obeying the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Truth must go forward unhindered, human rights must be protected, and the captive must be set free. The vision of the innocence bus tour is reunited communities and a healed nation where justice truly prevails and innocence is coveted. justice will prevail please Sign ! http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/dnaforsavory/ ; http://www.thesavoryfiles.com/#/tour/4569563453 Fighting for social justice. "It is now well known that the Obama justice department has prosecuted more government leakers under the 1917 Espionage Act than all prior administrations combined - in fact, double the number of all such prior prosecutions. But as last week's controversy over the DOJ's pursuit of the phone records of AP reporters illustrated, this obsessive fixation in defense of secrecy also targets, and severely damages, journalists specifically and the newsgathering process in general."*
Fox News take note: if Julian Assange is convicted, then investigative journalism will become effectively illegal. The Obama Department of Justice has made an accusation, that could kill the freedom of the press. Cenk Uygur breaks down the ridiculous war on the press.

The world is becoming a more dangerous place for refugees and migrants - so concludes the 2013 annual report on the global state of human rights published by Amnesty International.
With conflicts continuing across the globe, Amnesty's Secretary-General Salil Shetty is urging western countries to do more to aid those fleeing from persecution and hardships and stamp out growing anti-immigrant rhetoric.
If you are black or brown and live in New York City, don't get caught dead without a camera or face extortion or arrest at the hands of cops with quotas. This brutal criminal crime syndicate sees blacks and Latinos as nothing more then animals that should be terrorized, extorted and caged for profit.
We as an oppressed people need to start looking out for one another by filming any and all police interaction we happen to come across. If Mayor Micheal Bloomberg can go to England to get instructions on how to spy on and survey we citizens, then it's onlycommon sense that we survey him and his "private army".
Bottom line ... FILM EVERYTHING or suffer the consequences at the hands of power hungry psychopaths.

"Three Chicago teenagers are facing sexual assault charges after they allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl at gunpoint and posted a video of that attack on Facebook. In December, two 16-year-old boys and one 15-year-old boy brought the girl to one of their homes and allegedly took turns assaulting her, including sodomizing her. One of the young men had a gun in his pocket during some of the assaults and another held the gun during the rape. All of the rapes were caught on film and all three boys are visible in the videos, flashing gang signs."*

Anthony says that Chicago is a nice place to be, but not if you are homeless. Illinois does not provide welfare assistance, so people like Anthony and his brother have to rely on panhandling to survive.
Like most homeless people near Chicago's Loop, Anthony sleeps on Lower Wacker Drive. Many will say it's a little warmer down below, but no one should be sleeping there.
It was a typical Chicago rainy day. Anthony could not stop coughing. My heart broke for him as I was reminded of trying to survive a cold while I was on the streets. It's beyond horrible!
We talk about cases in the news (Jodi Arias and OJ), plus larger legal issues involving the drug war and capital punishment with defense attorney Victor Sherman. He explains the incentive to plead out of court, the process of arguing for the life of a client in death penalty cases, and the different tactics used in defending large drug "organizations" on Crime Time.
GUEST BIO: Victor Sherman founded Sherman & Sherman along with Janet Sherman in 1984. Prior to Sherman & Sherman, Mr. Sherman practiced criminal law with Michael Nasatir and Richard Hirsch under the firm name of Nasatir, Sherman & Hirsch, which was incorporated in 1969. Mr. Sherman has tried hundreds of cases in both federal and state courts, defending clients in cases ranging from business fraud to drug offenses, tax crimes, securities fraud, money laundering, public corruption, customs violations and racketeering, as well as misdemeanor and felony offenses and crimes of violence such as murder, sexual assaults and arson. In 1999, he represented the lead defendant in the largest money-laundering case in United States history. His clients have been as varied as a "Watergate" defendant and a defendant charged with the largest bank heist in the nation. Mr. Sherman has argued before the United States Supreme Court (United States v. $8,850) and Courts of Appeal in many federal circuits. Mr. Sherman was a national commentator during the O.J. Simpson murder trial, and is currently challenging the secret and indiscriminate wiretapping of over 100,000 California residents conducted by Los Angeles County District Attorney and law enforcement agencies in Southern California over the past decade. Mr. Sherman conceived of and began sponsoring the Aspen Advanced Criminal Law Seminar in 1980 in order to create an environment for defense attorneys to share their common experiences in a setting sure to inspire maximum learning and congeniality. Since 1997, the seminar has been co-sponsored by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Sherman has been recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Southern California, 2009 Edition, which was published as a supplement by the Los Angeles Times in its December, 2008 edition of the Los Angeles Times Magazine. Mr. Sherman received his B.S. in Business from the University of California, Los Angeles, in 1962 and his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall School of Law), in 1965. Mr. Sherman can be seen regularly on MSNBC and other various media outlets providing legal commentary on today's hottest cases.
