Interessant artikel waarin nog maar eens wordt benadrukt (gebaseerd op nieuw onderzoek) dat wanneer jongeren handig zijn met apparaten niet wil zeggen dat ze ook informatievaardig zijn.
"Kortom, het ‘nuttige’ gebruik van ict van jongeren wordt zwaar overschat. Het gebruik blijkt behoorlijk passief en is te oppervlakkig ontwikkeld om van actieve en zelfstandige kennisverwerving te kunnen spreken. Een goede basis voor een leven lang leren ontwikkelen jongeren dus niet vanzelf." Delete the scoop?

Facebook is een samenwerkingsverband aangegaan met de populaire cloud-opslagdienst Dropbox. Vanaf vandaag is het mogelijk om bestanden te delen met je vrienden in een Facebook Group.

Blubbr is een tool waarmee Youtube-filmpjes van interactieve meerkeuze-vragen kunnen worden voorzien. Na de vertoning van een fragment uit die film komen een meerkeuzevraag en vier antwoordmogelijkheden in beeld. Door te klikken op één van die antwoordmogelijkheden wordt de vraag beantwoord. Direct nadat het antwoord is gegeven verschijnt er feedback en is te zien of de vraag juist is beantwoord. Bij de beantwoording van de vragen vallen punten te verdienen. De eindscore komt in beeld zodra alle fragmenten zijn bekeken en alle vragen zijn beantwoord. De scorevermelding maakt het mogelijk om leerlingen tegen elkaar te laten spelen.

It seems that laying out a graphic organizer for specific topics should be obvious. The resources listed here will get you started. They also present the opportunity for a teacher to draw on their features to have learners create their own mind maps.

Een tablet vervangt letterlijk de boekentas en het schoolgerei van een leerling. Die kosten die voorheen volledig bij de ouders lagen, vallen letterlijk volledig weg. De inhoud van de virtuele boekentas, tablet genaamd, zijn zoals nu reeds voor rekening van de school: schoolboeken, oefenblaadjes,… En ook daar kunnen ze door de komst van de tablet op besparen. As much as I love Twitter, I have to admit I haven’t seen that familiar blue Twitter home page in quite a while. Why? because although Twitter is amazing, I can only fully leverage it by using a range of Twitter tools.
I’ve written several blog posts on Socialable about some of my favorite and most used Twitter tools but I thought it would be a good idea to create a series of 101 of the top social media and blogging tools. So here is the first in the series – and it made sense to start with Twitter seeing as it’s my social media “weapon of choice” and generates over 50% of the traffic to Socialable. Por mucho que me encanta Twitter, tengo que admitir que no he visto ese familiar azul en la página principal de Twitter en un buen rato. ¿Por qué? ya que si bien Twitter es increíble, sólo lo puedo aprovechar plenamente mediante el uso de una gama de herramientas de Twitter.

Thanks, Nik, and sorry if I raised unnecessary doubts about this service; I suppose we all need to boost our digital literacy, and being able to figure out if a web tool is safe is one of the key skills, isn't it? Cheers!

Hi Amadeu. No problem. It's always a good idea to check every source before signing up. I work very quickly and often forget so it's good to remind me. I usualy stay away from services which require me to sign in through another service, but this looks really good so I made an exception.
