El uso de Inglés como lengua intermediaria para traducir palabra por palabra, el algoritmo del motor de búsqueda que está mal con regularidad. Detrás de estos errores, el poder en el mediano plazo en Google lingüística. En frente de un texto español o traducción al italiano, que nunca ha utilizado Google Translate? La herramienta de traducción de motor de búsqueda estadounidense, aunque el símbolo de la inteligencia artificial, es conocido por el libro a veces sorprende. Debido a que no se va a traducir directamente del español al francés o del francés al italiano, pero recurrirá a Inglés como lengua "pivote" intermediario en las palabras de Frederick Kaplan, profesor de humanidades dedo en la Escuela Politécnica Federal de Lausana, que se centra en las consecuencias lingüísticas de la utilización de los algoritmos de Google. Por ejemplo, traducir "esta chica es bastante" italiano para, Google Translate da como resultado "Questa è abbastanza ragazza" es "Esta chica es medio suficiente." Basta con decir una frase que no va a sentir los oídos de los italianos. Para el algoritmo, "bastante" puede decir "lindo", pero también es un adverbio moderación en el idioma Inglés. Pregunta de France Info, Kaplan lamenta que "se habla mucho de las lenguas imperialismo, la guerra lenguaje" porque el uso principal de Inglés en Internet. "En cuanto al fondo, hay efectos más ocultas, como el uso del lenguaje Inglés en traducciones de pivote. Las frases de Inglés invitan en otros idiomas", dice. Otros ejemplo en un post en su blog, el idioma francés "lloviendo gatos y perros" primero se traduce correctamente en Inglés "Llueve a cántaros", pero en italiano, esto le dará una nueva expresión inexistente. "Piove canni e gatti". Si la empresa estadounidense abrió recientemente su comunidad en línea de los traductores para mejorar su módulo de traducción, todavía hay riesgos de que la expresión se transmite en línea. "Es una forma de innovación lingüística que empieza a poblar textos en Internet, y más interesantes, los algoritmos de Google analizará estos nuevo giro y por qué no sugerir un par de años en sus predicciones semi-automáticas," el análisis investigador cuyo equipo recibido fondos de la Fundación Nacional de Ciencia de Suiza para explorar los resortes lingüísticos útiles.  Y detrás de este mecanismo de la sugestión, lo que Kaplan llama en otro estudio de seguimiento "el lenguaje del capitalismo Google." El motor de búsqueda ha construido su éxito mediante la asignación de un valor económico a las palabras a través de subastas en la que "algunas palabras tienen más valor que otros." Y hay sugerencias de palabras, te hace más servicios de Google ... mientras que hace el servicio.
