I am glad to see others dispute Prensky. Not all 8-18 are Digital Natives. Of my two children, one is a digital native while the other is digital naivete. Just because someone is willing to use technology, it does not mean they know how to use it properly. Also, being able to make "fancy" presentations does not mean the student had deep understand of the topic. Many people know what it means to "experience death by PowerPoint."
It's Sunday afternoon, and my wife and I are watching Bicentennial Man with Robin Williams, a fascinating but little-known movie from 1999 (originally a short story by Isaac Asimov). It didn't get great reviews, but I really enjoyed it.
