TV Anchor Gets Called Fat, Has an Awesome Response [VIDEO] | Olivia's Opinions on Bullying and it's Causes | Scoop.it
A local TV anchor countered a letter by a viewer calling her fat with an amazing anti-bullying tirade.
Olivia's insight:

What is your opinion on this e-mail from a person Jennifer doesn't even know? What would you do in Jennifer's position? Why do you think the person sent this e-mail? What is your opinion on the bullying of adults? Does this article prove you don't have to be in middle school or high school to be bullied? Why or why not?

This email was very rude. The person who sent this has no right to talk to anybody like this. If I were Jennifer I would just keep moving on with my life and not worry about it. Not everybody is perfect. The person who sent this email is not a good rolemodel or example for younger people. All people look different. I'm sure he isn't perfect either. I think this person sent this email because he might want attention or he must be jelous of Jennifer. My opinion on the bullying of adults is that it shouldn't happen because people are always talking about how you should be a good example for others but obviously this person is not a good person to look up to. You wouldn't want your kids going to school calling people fat and overwieght. This article does prove that you don't have to be in middle or high school to be bullied. Adults get bullied all the time. Think of the homeless for example. Most of the homeless population are adults. Homeless people get bullied all the time.

Really? Because I would've been more upset if a complete stranger did it than someone I knew. I don't think I would move on from it immediately. I agree with you, the man probably wanted attention and he isn't a good role model for others at all. What makes it worse, in my opinion, is that he is an adult. This e-mail was very immature and completely out of the blue, It's so random. I mean, e-mailing a woman out of the blue and telling her she's fat? That's ridiculous. I think you were right about adults getting bullied too. Bullying has no age limit.

Teen Punished for Stopping Bullies From Harassing a Special Needs Girl | Olivia's Opinions on Bullying and it's Causes | Scoop.it
Bullying incident raises the question: Why are schools slow to respond to harassment complaints?

Via Ellen H Ullman, MSW
Olivia's insight:

Do you think that Stormy should've confronted the bully? Why or why not? If the girl with special needs didn't understand the harsh comments, does that make it right to not do anything about it? Why or why not? What would you have done if you were in Stormy's situation? Why do you think Stormy got punished for standing up to the bullies?
