Having read this article and was trying to relate it ohs it dawned on me that one of the core values of Army Mateship promotes a very basic principal of looking after your mates, and after all "it's the mates that make or break it."

A tragic end which could have been avoided. Safety of troops is paramount. How a soldier in uniform with a weapon is seen as less "threatening" than a solider with body armour on is obscured.

The new physical employment standards test for baseline fitness for all roles within Army regardless of age or gender. Although this article does not directly relate to ohs the test itself will screen personnel that are conditioned for their job and in-turn I foresee injury reduction and preservation of the workforce.

Although this video is a laugh it shows the level of maturity of a select few soldiers. There can be no reduction of risk for general stupidity.

AUSTRALIAN soldiers will once again be able to wear their beloved berets with the Chief of Army declaring the reversal of a controversial decision three years ago to ban them on the basis of sunsafety.

Common sense prevails after 3 years. Army personnel will again be allowed to wear the beret as a head dress when in the barracks environment. The ban 3 years ago based on the Sunsafe policy didn't cover special forces and jokes of their immunity to the sun was rife throughout Army.
