It is a story about the distant future, where humanity is nearly extinct.
Kansas City filmmaker David Matheny is trying to put together that story in a 20 minute sci-fi film. It would be called "The Runaway Sun." In his story, only about 4,000 humans are left in one colony, but then they are attacked.
Shay introduces the song at beginning of this clip; music starts about 38 seconds in. The Kansas City musical project Fado Novato, with Jordan Shipley on guitar and Beau Beldsoe on Portuguese guitar will spend the month of June in Portugal. The song is a lament, the singer missing Brasil and Portugal.

Some changes are afoot this upcoming season at Theatre in the Park.
In addition to the full-scale musicals Theatre in the Park audiences have come to expect, the theater is partnering with SureWest to offer Movies in the Park. Beginning June 11, the theater will screen family-friendly movies throughout the summer such as “Mary Poppins,” “The Lion King” and “Singin’ In The Rain” for only $1 per person.
Arts summer camps are suitable for those children, tweens, teens and even a few adults who want to enhance their skills in artistry such as pottery, dancing, ceramics, painting, drawing, sculpture and more diversified skills and talents. Other possibilities include camps focused on theater, photography and computer animation. For the most part, teachers are working artists who understand the drive to create. The following camps are fine arts focused, fun and active where young artists and stars can grow and mature in their favorite fine art or try out one.
