Students in grades 5th through 12th can get ahead of the cast this summer and bring their songs to life with Starlight Theatre’s new Master Classes.  Starlight Theatre Academy is offering three sessions of its “Acting the Song” Master Class at Starlight Theatre. Master Classes are designed to help students polish their musical theatre skills by learning from theatre professionals.

Art camps like the one held at the retail store of sketchandsip.com are a great way for a child to spend time learning the arts during the summer.  Whether the child has some interest in art or not, it is a way to gauge their creativity through a very positive environment of the art culture.

Young Composers Institute 2013 | KC Symphony

The Kansas City Symphony Young Composers Institute gives select high school students the opportunity to work one-on-one with Kansas City Symphony Composer-in-Residence, Adam Schoenberg. Under Schoenberg's guidance, students learn about composition through private lessons and group master classes. As a finale, The Young Composers Institute culminated with a public performance in Helzberg Hall by musicians of the Kansas City Symphony.
