The New Life of Kansas City's Lost Landmark is a short film about Bill Haw's loving restoration of Kansas City's Livestock Exchange building. Like most people, I fell in love with the building on my first visit. It had been renovated with modern amenities, but in a way that preserved the authenticity of the original structure. After multiple visits where tenants either went out of their way to open a door for me or engaged me in pleasant small talk, I signed a lease and moved my studio into an office. Soon after, I sought out the ownership to learn how this friendly community came to be, and this film is a result of that conversation.
