I am always interested in how people present a one-person show and in trying to figure out why some shows work and some don't. This show works very well. The actress uses her props very well to create simply but purposeful movement, rather than just sitting and telling the story or alternatively, having movement just for movement's sake. The story is very moving and occasionally funny. And most of all, she explores the ambivalence of marriage, love, and the complexities of having a child who will definitely change your life. She puts a very human face to this difficult decision.
