Oct 30, 2011 - Police say 25 people were arrested Sunday morning in the Pearl District following an Occupy Portland rally. 
October 25, 2011. Statesman Journal. Gov. John Kitzhaber met with Occupy Salem demonstrators in Willson Park on this afternoon. 
October 25, 2011. RegisterGuard. The Occupy Eugene protest group, currently encamped in Alton Baker Park, will be allowed to stay there or possibly at another city park until Dec. 15, the City Council decided Monday night. 
October 25, 2011. NWCN. It's been nearly a month since occupy Seattle took over Westlake Park. "We need people and Westlake is not the best place to do a 24-7 occupation," said Dee Powers. 
October 25, 2011. Oregonian. An informal survey of businesses on the perimeter of the encampment shows that owners have had to adjust, but the problems have not been threatening. Instead, they have added security, hunkered down and complained in writing to organizers when issues have arisen. 
The Today Show had some unexpected guests Thursday morning while filming an episode live in Seattle. Turns out, the Occupy Seattle protest moved a few blocks down to Pike Place Market to get their message on camera. 
"Obviously, a movement centered on being allowed to put tents in Westlake is nowhere near as sympathetic as one aimed at the occupation's true opponents: those who corrupt our politics society towards their own greedy ends, and as the months drag on, sleeping arrangements must be able to withstand Winter weather. For these reasons, the Westlake site is fundamentally problematic, but as anyone who's witnessed a week's worth of fruitless brainstorming and debate among the occupiers can tell you, there is no obvious alternative."

Spokane's version of the Occupy Wall Street protest has dwindled to only a handful of demonstrators, just a few weeks after a march through downtown drew some 300 people.

October 25, 2011, Seattle PI. Occupy Seattle protesters have voted to move their operational base to Seattle Central Community College.
Police overtime for the month of October is the bulk of the cost - $97,200. Police spokesman said most OT costs are from "deliberate, law-violating behavior," like spending the night in the park. Approximately 45 have been arrested.
