I think the longest stage would depend on the person experiencing grief. Personally I think that bargaining and acceptance would be the longest. As many people would make a bargain of some sort to save their loved one from a sickness/ illness. This would go hand in hand as by the loved one not getting better or well this would make acceptance even harder as you would think that you could have done something to help them and it could have worked.

the longest stage would all depend on the person and the situation, i think that acceptance last the longest because once you get through all the other stages you will have acceptance for a very long time.
