Did you know that avocado is really a fruit, but contains very little sugar and is a healthy fat all in one delicious package? Avocados are high in monounsaturated fat, fiber, vitamins B, C, E, and K and rich in potassium, helping your heart, and copper.

 

Consuming avocados does not make you fat. Avocados help to fill you so you may eat less non healthy food.

Health tips:
Many of you eat avocado as a veggie with tomatoes, onions, and salsa in guacamole. Some of you like the trendy avocado toast and/or stuffed avocado.

 

Avocado also makes a delicious creamy chocolate mousse and is very tasty eaten with other summer fruits like berries with a little nut butter.

 

Avocado can be used in place of dairy for creamy dishes. Avocados can also be frozen in slices giving you an extra frosty creamy texture similar to frozen bananas.

Did you know that you can never run out of plant based real whole food protein? From the top down that is from sprouts to ancient grains (buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, millet, and teff) plants have you covered in the protein department.

 

All protein comes from plants. Cows eat plants. So skip the middle “cow” and consume just the plants for your protein.

 

Health Tips:

Sprouts, algae, greens, crucifers, root, land and sea veggies, legumes (beans, peas, lentils), nuts and seeds are all rich in plant based real whole food protein. You don’t need to eat beans with rice.

 

You can eat beans with quinoa or buckwheat which is better for your blood sugar. Rice like white potatoes turns to sugar quickly and rice has been shown to contain arsenic, better to limit eating it
